Comfort or "temperature rise" is the difference in temperature of the air from the point where it enters the furnace to the point where it exits the furnace. The higher the temperature rise, the greater the warmth of the air when it enters the rooms of the home. Some brands of furnaces have a temperature rise as low as 50 degrees F. Others are up in the 70 degrees F temperature rise area. Thermo Pride has set a 70 degrees F temperature rise as standard across its full line of oil furnaces.
